Growing up in Boston's North End, Rudy spent a lot of time in restaurants.
In fact his family has owned five of them over the years. This early
exposure to the inner workings of the food service industry led to extensive
formal training, including a Bachelors Degree in hospitality from Boston
University and continuing education at Bunker Hill Community College and the
Boston Center for Adult Education.
This background, along with management experience in places like Orzo
Trattoria, Davide, Donatello, Cafe Escadrille, Panera Bread and Black Fin
Chophouse, he says, "taught me self discipline, honesty and the values of
hospitality." All values which he incorporates into his relationship with
guests today at the Temple Bar. Working as a server at top restaurants like
Great Bay, Ruths Chris and Davide helped him to understand how important
that relationship with guests is on a day to day basis.
"I think I bring a feeling of warmth to the dining room," he says, "and
hospitality with open arms."
In his off hours Rudy can be found watching movies, doing trivia, dining
out, and traveling to places where he can delve into the culture, the
people, and most importantly, the ever changing food and drink trends.
His vision for the future of Temple Bar is to "make it a place where guests
come to play and dine over and over again." Stop by, and you'll see what he
means.
